NO.3/ DIVIDING

Let’s not miss this clear time of “visitation” when the brilliance of the Lord’s Presence shines upon the darkness to both expose and consume it all.

I have a favorite question I love to ask others. It goes like this:

If God is Omniscient (All Knowing), Omnipotent (All Powerful), and Omnipresent (Everywhere all at the same time), why did He go looking for Adam and Eve after they sinned, crying out, "WHERE ARE YOU?" Surely He knew where they were, right?

Of course He did! As Rick Joyner likes to say (another glorious "voice" in the Body of Christ), "When God asks a question, it's not because He doesn't know the answer."

In Adam and Eve's case, God knew it was imperative that THEY TELL THE TRUTH about WHERE they were IF they were to ever move forward into destiny.

The same goes for us. Like Adam and Eve, we are to tell the truth when confronted with TRUTH (one aspect of God's inherent nature). If we don't, well ... look what Jesus had to say about it when He confronted the Pharisees about WHO He came to save.

"I have come to judge those who think they see and make them blind. And for those who are blind, I have come to make them see. Some of the Pharisees were standing nearby and overheard these words. They interrupted Jesus and said, 'You mean to tell us that we are blind?' Jesus told them, 'If you would acknowledge your blindness, then your sin would be removed. But now that you claim to see, your sin remains with you!" (John 9:39-41 TPT)

As you can see, the Pharisee's refusal to tell the truth is the very thing that kept them in their blindness ... and their sin!

Which brings up the subject matter I want to address. What many may not realize is, Jesus has a method to how He wants to address the human heart.

"Don't think for a moment that I came to grant peace and harmony to everyone. NO, for my coming will change everything and CREATE hostility among you." (Luke 12:51 TPT).

Matthew's gospel carries the same intent and message but with a twist.

"Perhaps you think I've come to spread peace and calm over the earth - but my coming will bring conflict and division, not peace. Because of me, a son will turn against his father, a daughter her mother and against her mother-in law. Within your own families you will find enemies." (Matt. 10:34-36 TPT) Yikes!

But as alarming as these two Scriptures might sound, underlining these two passages is simply the Lord desiring to separate the willing heart from the unwilling one. How would He do so?

Jesus said, "The light of God has now come into the world, but the hearts of people love their darkness more than the Light, because they want the darkness to conceal their evil. So the wicked hate the Light and try to hide from it, for their lives are fully exposed in the LIGHT." (John 3:19-20 TPT)

Jesus is the LIGHT "which gives light to every man coming into the world." (John 1:9 NKJV). He is the standard. When He shines His presence on us, our darkness is exposed and we're given opportunity to repent of that darkness and come into the light, or remain complicit in the darkness and suffer the consequences of not repenting.

Pretty simple stuff, right? For some, yes. For others, no. That's because, IF someone loves the darkness more than the light, they will "see" but remain blind and "hear" but remain deaf. Isn't this what happened with the Pharisees who asked Jesus if He was saying they were blind? They remained in their sin.

So let's fast forward to today.

With all the turmoil of 2020, isn't it plain that we have a "dividing" going on right in front of our eyes? Then again, maybe you think this past twelve months has been a random year of trouble that pops up on occasion? Regardless, what's amazing to me is that God has not stopped with the United States, or even the rest of the nations for that matter. He is actively dividing the church herself as we speak.

The question is, why such a dividing and why now? Although I'm not sure I have a full understanding of it, I can offer with reasonable confidence that God has never chosen to separate one from the other unless He was about to do something extraordinary with both. I'm thinking you know what side I want to be on.

As for me and my family, we are prayerfully and with GREAT sobriety seeking the face of God that we remain in step and in alignment with WHO He is and WHAT He's doing. If you don't have this same sense of urgency, then I recommend that you lay low and keep careful watch on what's about to happen over the next few months and years.

WE ARE NOT IN A RANDOM SEASON OF TIME. Lines are being drawn and sides taken. A DIVIDING IS UPON US.

"Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is." (Mark 13:33)

Let's not miss this clear time of "visitation" when the Brilliance of the Lord's Presence shines upon the darkness to both expose and consume it all.

DIVIDING

Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
